Internships and Volunteer Work Programmes

Internships

What better place to do your internship than in South Africa, a country renowned for the warmth and friendliness of its people, the stunning natural beauty of its landscapes and coasts, and the richness of its culture?

The volunteer work programmes are suitable for people who wish to gain employment experience and further language training in a work environment, all the while enjoying South Africa's diverse culture, with its many opportunities for travel and sightseeing.

Placement opportunities are available in the following sectors: Tourism, Sales/Marketing, Advertising, General Administration, Accounting/Financing, Import/Export, Backpacking, Hotel Management, and Engineering.

Study Cape Town will find you an internship or volunteer work opportunity in Cape Town. As placements are tailored to suit individual needs and abilities, anyone can apply - university students, graduate students, and experienced professionals. Simply send us your CV and a cover letter stating what area and what capacity you would like to work in and what value you can add to a company or organisation.

It is best to undergo two to four weeks (depending on your English level) of English language training, if you come from a non-english speaking country, prior to embarking on a work programme.

Whatever you choose to do, it is essential that you apply at least two months before your intended start date so that all the necessary arrangements can be made to ensure your placement is a success.
