Our school is located in
Sea Point close to the sea and only ten to fifteen minutes drive to the city centre.
It is surrounded by various shops, cafes and restaurants. SCT has modern
facilities like comfortable classrooms, free internet access and a
comfortable students lounge and recreation area. Our team is very friendly and helpful
and will do the utmost to make your stay comfortable and pleasant.
Study Cape Town offers English learning at all levels to cater for your needs, whether leisure-oriented, an intensive programme, or private (one-to-one) tutorship. This flexibility means you can tailor your learning and still have time to enjoy the benefits of our comprehensive special packages. To offer our clients a convenient and effective learning environment we have a maximum of eight students in each class, often even less.

Course Content
Your course will focus upon all aspects of your English language development. Courses integrate grammar, vocabulary, guided conversations, pronunciation, speaking, listening, writing, reading and communication practice. All courses use specifically targeted course books and authentic materials; they also involve group and pair work.
The Teachers
You will be taught by a team of qualified and experienced teachers who are committed to your learning success. They use varied, systematic teaching methods to address your learning needs and speed up your progress. All teachers are native speaker and highly qualified in teaching English as a foreign language.
Your level and assessment
Your first day at Study Cape Town, your level of English is assessed. You are then placed in a class suitable to your level (between Starter and Advanced). Your progress is regularly assessed during the course. As you progress, you will change classes to ensure that you are in the class most suitable to your level.

Group lessons
General
This group course consists of 20 lessons per week. It is ideal to achieve a quick learning success and at the same time make use of the great leisure and culture programme.
Intensive
This course consists of 30 lessons per week. It builds on the standard course and deepens your understanding of the language. The aim of the course is to learn English in a short period of time or to improve existing knowledge intensively. Although studying is the main content of this course, there will be enough time for you to take part in the various leisure activities.
Business English
This course consists of 20 lessons per week. It specialises in business English. The aim of the course is to learn business English in a short period of time or to improve existing knowledge intensively through theoretical as well as practical lessons. Although studying is the main content of this course, there will be enough time for you to take part in the various leisure activities. SCT can arrange for you to take part in business networking sessions at the Cape Chamber of Commerce. This will immediately give you the opportunity to practice what you have been taught.
Private lessons
General
This course consists of 20 lessons per week. It is ideal to achieve a quick learning success and at the same time make use of the great leisure and culture programme.
Intensive
Intensive Private consists of 30 lessons per week and is ideal to learn English in a short period of time or to improve existing knowledge intensively.
Business English
The Business English Private course consists of 20 lessons per week and specialises in business English. The aim of the course is to learn business English in a short period of time or to improve existing knowledge intensively through theoretical as well as practical lessons.
Business English and Project work
Here you combine both learning Business English and practical work experience at our company.
Legal English
This course aims at participants who work in an international legal environment such as lawyers, paralegals and law students. You will learn to understand and use some basic legal vocabulary. The seminar also deals with telephoning or writing emails to clients about legal matters. Participants should have a good basic knowledge of general English.

Special Packages
Study Cape Town has designed three packages to make your stay an
